Introduction

A lifelong exploration

Every meaningful relationship begins with attention.

Photography has taught me that nature rarely reveals itself to those who rush. Through photographs, stories, field notes and conversations, I explore the many ways people connect with animals and the natural world, and how those encounters quietly shape us in return.

Connection may begin with curiosity, wonder, understanding, empathy or simply paying closer attention. Every story on this website explores one small part of that relationship.

I’m Katherine Chamberlain, an Australian photographer, emerging documentary filmmaker and storyteller building a long-term home for that question.
